The brackets themselves are stain-resistant, but the clear elastic ties can discolor. To keep your braces looking their best, avoid dark foods and drinks like coffee, tea, and red wine.

Dr. Aljure-Estrada will replace your ties at each adjustment appointment, and sometimes in between, so you don’t need to completely change your diet or lifestyle while wearing ceramic braces.

Sticky, hard, and chewy foods can damage your braces. We recommend avoiding caramel, popcorn, ice, and crunchy snacks to protect your brackets and wires.

Yes. Regular dental visits are essential during orthodontic treatment. Braces make brushing and flossing more challenging, so professional cleanings and checkups help keep your teeth and gums healthy.

Dr. Aljure-Estrada will use special tools to gently remove your braces. The process is pain-free. Any remaining adhesive will be cleaned away, and your teeth will be polished so you can show off your new smile.
